Nanaimo Minute Men recognizes the leadership role we can play in keeping Canadian communities clean and green.
To that end, we have incorporated the practices of Reduce, Re-use and Recycle into our daily operations, both on the road and off.
Our goal is to help make our world a little greener – one move at a time.
Our green initiatives include:

- Regular scheduled truck and trailer maintenance and/or trade-ins to reduce harmful emissions
- Retiring containers after 15 years service and giving them a second life as storage containers to local farms and other businesses
- Recycling tires, packing paper and cartons (which contain recycled materials)
- Using re-usable quilted furniture pads and floor runners
- Recycling the wood, steel and cardboard used at our container manufacturing facility
- Recycling paper, cans, bottles, cardboard and toner cartridges in our offices
- Striving to become a paperless work environment
